PROSPECTS - Oh Lawd... The Last Days of PROSPECTS

£8.00

This future UK hip hop underground classic of an album almost never happened. Honestly at the point PROSPECTS disbanded we had 2 final singles (‘Oh Lawd’ and ‘Slow Down’ prod Verb T) ready to drop and assumed that would be it. However, in the years between their dope debut EP Stumblin and the point they called time on the collaboration, the boys had been in the studio working on dozens of tunes. Stored on various dusty hard drives, none of them looked set to see the light of the day. As this seemed like a fucking crime, we tracked down these steezy relics of the PROSPECTS era. We picked the 10 best finished tunes out of this digital museum of their signature wordsmithery, gave them a slick mastering lift from beat wizard Kulture and sat back and beheld our creation.

Turned out that Lebbs and Apps had unwittingly recorded a complete and incredibly sick album and nobody, including them, may ever have known. Oh Lawd… The Last Days of PROSPECTS almost didn’t exist. But rejoice. It does exist. Wrap your ears around it. Better yet, chuck a few quid in the pockets of this crew of two that once was as they go forth on their solo side quests. Tell a friend to tell their future children, lest the good word of PROSPECTS be lost forever to the sands of time.

Mastered by Kulture.
